Well, once again time flies forward, March into September, and soon October. Can't afford to post much this time with exams coming, but would love to finish the stories.
Perhaps one of the things that has got me thinking over these few months would be love. It starts with wondering what it is, and then realising the world severly lacks it. Think about it, if someone says "I love you", what is it about "you" that he/she loves? And of course, is it even possible for us to love a person?
When asked "why do you love me?", people may often have answers like you're beautiful, intelligent, etc. In other words, wouldn't this imply that they love certain traits about "you", and not exactly "you" as a whole? We have to admit that nobody is perfect, and that we are bound to have flaws here and there. In a modern context, I believe it would be quite rare to find a person who really means it when he/she says, "I love you because you're ugly" or something like that. For us, we have usually designated certain traits as desirable or undesirable, and likewise, have associated love with desirable. So how do we explain the undesirable traits. Well, obviously our kind of love would place more empahsis on the positive traits, basically "looking on the bright side". Humans are great at self-deception, treat the negatives as non-existent and they won't impact you severely. Like real, they'll eventually surface, and the inability to handle usually leads to breakups/divorces. To put things simply, we will never love a person because he/she is a person, only because they have some trait we find desirable in them, just like how a company values employees who make big contributions while not so useful people get retrenched.
So we can safely conclude that our kind of love at best is still superficial, but of course, there is a being who has far surpassed that low standard. Those who have accepted Him as Lord and Saviour will understand what I mean. To love those who have only returned the favour with scorn and mockery, even the murder of His son, is truly amazing. If He was like me(which thankfully he isn't), you wouldn't exist to read about this. He is the only one capable of loving anybody for who they are, and wishes all to accept His love so that we may never have to search endlessly for "love". Let's face it, we all need love and companionship, and He is the best source of both. Loving yourself means nothing. After all, you have no love in you to start with, so how can you pour love into yourself. How can nothing fill nothing and get something out of it?
I'll admit I desire His kind of love, the kind of love I can't find in this world. Here I'm only valued if I can get good results, make contributions etc. I feel that my brothers and sisters are close to loving me the way He does, and of course He has loved me that way even before my creation.

Rainbow
If you're wondering why the title, it might not be worth much wondering. To keep things simple, I saw a rainbow on my way home from 3rd language. But then, as you might know me by now, I crave and enjoy deep meanings, and this apparently, might just be the tip of the iceberg.
Storm's End
You once told me of a pain
That which flowed through you
One with your blood, your soul
Never to be removed
You wandered through those days
When oceans descended from the heavens
Accompanied by flashes and roars
Seemingly with no end
You stood still in the gales
Robbing your warmth away
You said everywhere felt the same
Even with their Sun
He reached out his hand
The winds and water stopped
Trembling before their master
As he approached his creation
Relucatant at first, you took hold of his hand
The darkness ceased, bright warmth returned
In the sky a spectrum of joy
Seven colours chosen by the Master
It ended at last, with Him beside
Never to leave, never to forget
Like His beauty in the sky
His wonders know no end

Together
It has been a long while, but at last, we are whole.
As they say, God works in mysterious ways, and indeed He does. We don't remember when our seperation occurred, but throughout this time, He's been slowly putting us back together, allowing different viewpoints to surface along the way. Now I guess we understand that sometimes one needs to walk through darkness to understand light, and we are we no longer, just me.
I've been filled with the reason I've been searching for so long, maybe I had it before, but I guess it's been too long. As believed, this reason is not from this world, but way beyond it, understandably acceptable. It is He who has united the halves, no more conflict, no more pain from those wars, we are finally one, a single being pieced together from 2 broken halves. Many more miracles lay ahead,

Thoughts
As with the ascension to the 4th year, time becomes an even more scarce luxury. Despite some committments for the next day, we have decided to post some interesting ideas.
Just recently, we began pondering about numbers. Let's say 4, it is easily understood what is meant by 4 cats, 4 dogs, etc. But, remove the cats and dogs, can one say, "I have 4"? It raises questions like 4 what? Period. Now think about it a little more deeply, what exactly is 4? Since our childhood we've been taught that it is a numerical value, a positive integer, whole number, etc. But what does it mean? What is 4 to us? Is it just this symbol "4", wouldn't it mean the same as "four", or even "IV"?
Perhaps it might be similar to Jean Baudrillard's arugment of a hyperreality (or the absence of a reality). He argues that the images of reality have ultimately replaced reality itself, espacially with the use of the internet. We recognise "4", "four" and even "IV" as the numerical value four. Taking a page out of Baudrillard's book, these are what he says are the successive phases of the image:
1. It is the reflection of a basic reality
2. It masks and perverts a basic reality
3. It masks the absence of a basic reality
4. It bears no relation to any reality whatever; it is its own pure simulacrum
Now think about this in relation to 4. First, these symbols are a good representation of the numerical value of 4. We see them in our math books, the papers, everywhere. They pretty much perfectly represent 4. But then, to say those symbols pervert and mask the "reality" of 4, is not exactly entirely false. Since we have no clue as to what exactly is this "four", aren't we distorting what it is by defining it with those symbols that actually have a form? Thirdly, to say the symbols mask the absence of such a thing as "four" is quite true as well. Since we have no clue what this "four" is, could it be it is because it doesn't exist? And lastly, perhaps it is actually a simulation, it doesn't even represent anything, since we have no idea what those symbols are even trying to represent.
Hope we haven't entangled your mind too much, do try to enjoy it though.

16th Year of Existence
Time has again landed us in a new year, continuing to devour what remains of our lives. For this, we'll be doing a short summary of some of the concepts we've thought of in 2008.
The Spirit Concept
Probably the one I've talked about the most, where Wiflred, a boy who has lost his father and right eye in the event known as the Great Devastation and gained a strong hatred for humanity meets a spirit being who calls himself Dougal. A contract is offered, one that promises him power and freedom from his "curse" of being human. Without much hesitation, Wilfred gladly accepts, and so begins his life as a Pariah, half-human "half-demon" beings who are never truly accepted by either side. As names are given to newborns, Wilfred changes his to Sable Sol, corresponding to the black sun he sees in his dream of re-birth. And so begins his new journey, as he meets others of his kind and discovers more about himself.
The Dreamer
In this one, a boy by the name of Somereld (we prefer to call him Rel) has been seeing other worlds in his dreams. One day (or night), he dreams of the Central World, and when he touches the hand of a girl who reaches out to him, he finds himself now in that world. After some shock and introductions, the girl, Evadne, explains to him that he is the being known as "The Dreamer", one capable of travelling to different realities via dreams. Rel learns about the Reality Creators, and how they create and define each world. The reality creator of the Central World is a large bright crystal situated in a grand temple. It's exceptional rule is that it allows those living in the Central World to know about other worlds and Reality Creators, while usually the people in other worlds are clueless about such matters. And so, Rel travels to other worlds, meeting a variety of others who join him in his journey to stop a mysterious person who has been trying to "tunnel" through realities, and in the process damaging Reality Creators. From a desolate world torn apart by war with only 1 immortal survivor, to a land where the wind rules just about all, it's a story where dreams literally become reality. Possibly some elements of romance too, but that we'll decide later.
So that concludes it for now, hope you'll comment on them and hopefully give us more ideas.
